Apparently San Diego Unified Supt. Cindy Marten has never heard of Maya Angelou based on her hiring practices for the San Diego Unified School District Senior Staff Inner Circle,
A little over 2 weeks ago, on August 31st, we published SDUSD Superintendent Cindy “White Woman Mafia” Marten is Color Blind…Only Sees WHITE for Senior Management Positions While Betraying BOTH SDUSD Police and South of 8 Community!!!
There were over 1,000 views of that post and apparently it especially “resonated” with one of our readers.
That anonymous reader of District Deeds who obviously stays on top of SDUSD issues and is gravely concerned with the leadership and hiring inadequacies of Supt. Cindy Marten, decided to shed even more light on the total lack of diversity in SDUSD Senior Leadership.
That dedicated individual sent District Deeds the following document:

District Deeds Note: Pictures have been removed to protect the newly hired employees. We believe that they are nearly as much of a victim of Supt. Cindy Marten’s poor hiring practices as those that were NOT chosen.
That’s right, on top of the existing NINE Senior Executives profiled on August 31st, Supt. Cindy Marten has added 6 MORE CAUCASIANS to her Senior Staff for a GRAND TOTAL of 15 Caucasians at the top!
At the same time, there has been a group of highly credentialed and experienced Senior Executives of color FLEEING to senior positions in other School Districts!
How long will the San Diego Unified Trustees John Lee Evans, Kevin Beiser, Mike McQuary, Sharon Whitehurst-Payne and Richard Barrera allow the inexperienced and incompetent Marten continue to divide and destroy the District with her horrible hiring practices?
The District Deeds Prediction:
Despite ALL her Blunders and Lies, Marten will not be removed by the current Trustees until the current Trustees are removed…starting this November on Election Day!!

Real children and families, many who can least defend themselves, are being hurt educationally by the politically motivated detrimental decions of the school district: from the decision in late 2011 to greatly reduce Title I funding to the poorest schools, to the systematic elimination of early childhood education services to poor children.
In addition, the chronic underfunding of English Learner programs and underrepresentation at advisory committes of low income families and parents who do not speak English, just to name a few of the district’s continued harmful practices.

The practice is continuing as SDUSD hires even more Caucasian female and male principals, several of which are outside of our district, while dozens of highly qualified, highly experienced, MINORITY APPLICANTS WHO ARE LONG TIME DISTRICT EMPLOYEES-Hispanic, Latino, African-African American, South American, Filipino, Asian and others–I’m talking about the eliminated vice principals and Resource teachers and teachers doing leadership roles that are NOT being considered for jobs….I am talking about the stellar instructional leaders at schools across the entire district WHO ARE SILENTLY BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGED by principals using them as workforce. I for one have seen the practice leading schools fall on the backs of these unrecognized silent leaders. This practice is pervasive in the hiring of teachers and support staff. The district should think about building within.

At the site level, white males over 40 have been frozen out as new hires. It remains true that CM hires primarily white women at the district level, and that has frozen out many excellent, more qualified candidates of color, such as Sid Salazar, Joe Fulcher and Vernon Moore. SDUSD’s loss is other districts’ gains.
