Back in July, 2017 District Deeds provided proof of the gross educational inequities in the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) created by a Kakistocracy made up of totally incompetent Elementary School Superintendent Cindy Marten, her hand picked senior staff flunkeys and Board of Education Trustee bootlickers Richard “Tricky Dick” Barrera, Kevin “Dismissal with Prejudice” Beiser, John “You Can’t Handle the Truth” Evans, Michael “Foggy Brain” McQuary and Sharon “Flying By The Seat of Our Pants” Payne.

In our “FINAL 2016/17 BOARD MEETING DISASTER DUMP: Part 1: College Access Inequity for Students South of I-8” we described how access to CCAP and AP classes in the neediest schools was inequitable.

Here is what we said:

“At the last SDUSD board meeting on July 11, 2017 , Executive Director of Secondary Schools Cheryl Hibbeln, with a big smile on her face, responded to public comment by SDUSD Stakeholders at the  Board meeting that she would LOVE to have schools south of the 8 ask for many, many, more CCAP classes.  Hibbeln said she had worked tirelessly begging and pleading with high schools to add more classes but she just did not have the power to force the schools to add CCAP classes.

Hibbeln was backed up by that claim by Marten and Board Members Barrera and Evans.

District Deeds smelled a huge pile of SDUSD (censored)…we know better!

Hibbeln and Marten have never hesitated to constantly intervene and force SDUSD High Schools to change Principals, curriculum and Master Schedules…almost always creating total educational dysfunction with students spending the first two or more weeks of school in a library or auditorium until they were assigned a class.

Marten has seemed happy, even invigorated with bullying High Schools to bend to her Elementary School will with the assistance of her hand-picked henchmen (or henchwomen) or a willing Trustee or two like Marne Foster, John Lee Evans or Richard Barrera.

There was no talk of “disenfranchisement” while the students were sitting in the auditorium because of the Marten and Hibbeln Master Schedule interventions.

Barrera and Evans have supported the school site bullying by Marten since they appointed her.

Given this stench of their alibis, District Deeds pulled all of the data from the 4 documents provided by Cheryl Hibbeln at the first reading and discovered that the Stakeholders objecting to the CCAP inequity south of I-8 in public comment were right.

High Schools south of I-8 are allowed by Hibbeln and Marten offer a ridiculously small number and variety of CCAP classes to their Students.”

Now Pro-Publica has verified those inequities, and worse, with a comprehensive interactive report titled Miseducation-Is There Racial Inequality at Your School?

In that report, Pro Publica San Diego Unified School District Profile, the data shows that SDUSD senior leadership allows a major shortfall in enrollment in AP classes by students of color.  In the SDUSD…

White students are 2.2 times as likely to be enrolled in at least one AP class as Black students.

 White students are 2 times as likely to be enrolled in at least one AP class as Hispanic students.

One way that Marten and her cronies ensure that they keep the status quo and keep all non-white students “in their place” is by reducing the School Choice window ( Disaster No. 3 – “Endangered SDUSD Choice Program) and drastically reducing Busing (New SDUSD Choice/Busing Motto = “A Quality Charter School in Every Neighborhood”),  These segregation strategies are obviously working according to the Pro Publica report:

We encourage ALL SDUSD stakeholders to look up your so-called “Quality School in Every Neighborhood” in Pro Publica and help burst the SDUSD multi-million dollar propaganda marketing bubble by informing your school site communities of these cold, hard truths.

We believe that it will prove to many of our readers that the fake “Vision 2020” is just an empty marketing slogan by totally incompetent Elementary School Superintendent Cindy Marten, her hand picked senior staff flunkeys and Board of Education Trustee bootlickers Richard “Tricky Dick” Barrera, Kevin “Dismissal with Prejudice” Beiser, John “You Can’t Handle the Truth” Evans, Michael “Foggy Brain” McQuary and Sharon “Flying By The Seat of Our Pants” …and ALL SDUSD Students, Families, dedicated Principals and Staff are suffering GREAT HARM year after year because of it.

We also believe it proves conclusively that is time for a change in the current SDUSD leadership…in Superintendent…in the Senior Staff…in the Board of Education.
