San Diego Unified Superintendent Cindy Marten and Board of Education Trustees Richard Barrera, John Lee Evans, Kevin Beiser, Mike McQuary and Sharon Whitehurst-Payne have found a new way to hide their illegal acts from County, State, and Federal Auditors and subvert justice for all District Stakeholders.

In an obvious attempt to destroy incriminating evidence for wrongdoing and minimize the ability for illegal activity to be uncovered and punished, the San Diego Unified School District has decided to DELETE ALL E-MAIL that ages past 6 months.

The current SDUSD policy (that will be eliminated July 1, 2017) is to retain and archive ALL District emails for “several years”.

In other words, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests by Whistleblowers, Parents, Community Members, Media and Watchdog agencies that uncover emails exposing the many San Diego Unified School District improprieties and illegal activities will soon disappear forever…and allow SDUSD criminals to escape prosecution.

Without emails from FOIA requests older than 6 months that have FORCED Cindy Marten and the SDUSD to hand over emails and expose face their criminal activities:

  • Marne Foster would STILL be abusing her power and breaking laws as a  SDUSD Board of Education Trustee.

  • SDUSD Employees who were denied their employment rights or were sexually harassed by managers or co-workers would continue to suffer.

  • In the future, Cindy Marten and her crony inner circle will be able to delete email communications that expose their poor decisions leading up to the current $124 million financial disaster and layoffs from County, State and Federal Auditors.

According to the following email sent to District Employees yesterday, June 8, 2017, the new policy goes into effect on July 1, 2017:

This new policy change that allows the SDUSD to destroy email evidence and to cover up illegal activity BEFORE the actual statute of limitations expires is consistent with all the other improper, disrespectful tactics and strategies that have been used to minimize transparency for the dishonest Supt. Cindy Marten regime.

We cannot allow this to happen!
