Inept San Diego Unified Elementary School Superintendent Cindy Marten has accomplished something that has not occurred in the San Diego Unified School District since its inception on July 1, 1854…160 YEARS AGO!  The woefully inexperienced San Diego Elementary School Superintendent has allowed the SDUSD to file a Uniform Complaint against itself!

Lucky (or manipulated by?) for Marten, the SDUSD Legal Department denied the complaint!

The Uniform Complaint supposedly filed on behalf of 195 English Language Learner (ELL) Stakeholders from 12 schools negatively impacted by the Marten panicked budget decision to eliminate English Language Support Teachers (ELST’s) from the neediest schools in the SDUSD was about as poorly designed as the NEW plan described in  the recent WHISTLEBLOWER blog post from “Concerned ELL Teacher” here: WHISTLEBLOWER – English Language Learner “Concerned ELL Teacher”: Change this Madness!!!

Here is the miserable excuse for a Uniform Complaint submitted on behalf of DELAC BY the Marten Administration (see the “Signature”) to its own Legal Department!:

With minimal research by District Deeds and assistance from ELL Educational experts, District Deeds easily found a template that can be easily adapted and is a much more comprehensive Uniform Complaint customized to the needs of ELL Stakeholders along with Advocate Toolkits and Tutorials that explains ALL the DELAC options  Here are both Spanish AND English template links from ELL advocacy Californians Together

Since it was SO easy for District Deeds to find a much more comprehensive and ELL customized Uniform Complaint template, the question regarding the incompetent Marten and her administrative leadership is:

Was this miserable excuse for Uniform Complaint assistance by the “Believe It Or Not” Marten Administration for DELAC with an obviously predetermined “No Corrective Action is Necessary” conclusion by the SDUSD Legal Department a matter of:

  • PURE MARTEN ADMINISTRATION IGNORANCE AND INCOMPETENCE?

OR

  •   WILLFUL MARTEN IGNORANCE AND MANIPULATION?

Given the track record of Marten through numerous blunders, debacles, errors and poor judgements, EITHER option is completely possible.
