The 4th of July to many San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) Stakeholders is bittersweet. Deep educational injustice to Families and Students of color and of poverty make it extremely difficult for them to celebrate “Independence”.
Many of those same families in the SDUSD have had members of their family enlist in the military to serve a country and a school district that has corruptly denied them a full and complete education while spreading “achievement” propaganda to get themselves re-elected and promoted. All of these misdeeds in the SDUSD are shrouded by dishonesty, opacity and unaccountability.
But despite that betrayal, those familes have continued to serve unselfishly and sacrifice their physical and mental health for our country and our school district.
They all should, on this special day, be revered and remembered. District Deeds honors them and their sacrifice with our formal pledge:
District Deeds July 4, 2022 Pledge:
On this 4th of July, 2022 District Deeds pledges to do our very best to bring Honesty, Transparency and Accountability to the SDUSD so Independence Day can truly be celebrated by ALL SDUSD Stakeholders and their Children.
We ask you to join us in this pledge.
Keeping in mind the quote above from Clarence Darrow, District Deeds wishes ALL of our readers, especially our military families, a safe and happy 4th of July/Independence Day weekend!
Enjoy!!!
