The Community Law Project is hosting a Juvenile Justice workshop on Wednesday October 12th at 5:30pm at Hoover High School Auditorium. The presenter is an attorney from ACLU and law professor at California Western School of Law, Bardis Vakili.
Given the turn of the recent events in El Cajon, we are encouraging all parents of teens and the youth to come and learn first-hand how to act in an encounter with law enforcement. The attorney will be available for individual questions after the presentation.
We will also have a representative for MidCity-CAN Restorative Justice Initiative, Marlena Balderas. She will be available for questions on Alternatives to the Juvenile Justice process in City Heights.
The event is free and open to the public. Please send the information to anyone who will benefit from this information.
