A Love Letter Evaluation from Trustee Barrera and a Hug to Boot!
Back in June, while the November 8th Election Trustee Candidates Sharon Whitehurst-Payne, John Lee Evans and Richard Barrera and incumbent Trustees Beiser and McQuary conferred over the evaluation of SDUSD Supt. Cindy Marten, we sent an email notifying them of our series of posts titled “THE 12 MONTH DISASTER 2015/1016 SDUSD Supt. Cindy Marten Performance Evaluation“.
Here is the email:
We felt it was important to dissect the performance of the most powerful and most overpaid executive in the San Diego Unified School District.
We broke the Marten Evaluation for the 2015/2016 school year into 3 sections:
Period 1: Lies, Student Sexual Abuse and CoverUps – August, 2015-November, 2015
Period 2: District Attorney Proof, El Niño Site Danger and Tased at Lincoln High – December, 2015–March, 2016
Period 3: Fakes and Fiascos – Restorative Justice, EL Plans, Brain Drains and Hiring Mistakes -April, 2016–July, 2016
District Deeds provided a Performance Evaluation by Period…

After all…Teachers have to go through MULTIPLE pages of each pre-assigned objective in their San Diego Unified Stull evaluation using the following form:

Principals have an even more extensive, 5 page, detailed, evaluation document:
But instead of an actual performance review of Marten showing her total incompetence based on the facts, the SDUSD Board of Education rewarded Superintendent Cindy Marten…the person who conspired with disgraced former Trustee Marne Foster to commit improper, unethical and proven board bylaw violations and who ALSO should have been removed from her position…with a ridiculous 731 WORD Love Letter Evaluation full of misrepresentations, untruths and exaggerations…plus provide the incompetent Supt. Marten a 2 year contract extension through 2020!
EVERY Teacher, EVERY Principal, EVERY SDUSD Employee and EVERY SDUSD Stakeholder who has received a REAL performance evaluation should be outraged at this FAKE EVALUATION OF THE INCOMPETENT MARTEN.
Based on this TOTAL lack of judgement and OBVIOUS TOTAL lack of ethics, Trustees Sharon Whitehurst-Payne, John Lee Evans and Richard Barrera SHOULD NOT be elected in the upcoming November 8th election.

If the Board gave Marten a legitimate review it would reflect their poor judgement in hiring a inexperienced Superintendent while ignoring the proper vetting process. It’s a shame because it’s the students who are affected by the irresponsible decisions.
