District Deeds was dismayed, but not surprised, by Supt. Cindy Marten’s choice of where she would “greet” students on the first day of the 2016/2017 San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) school year.  According to a characterization by a trusted District Deeds Whistleblower, this is appears to be just another act of Marten’s “White Woman Mafia”.

Using Channel 7/39, the favorite television media tool of her new SDUSD Propaganda Minister, Andrew “body wash up on shore” Sharp, Marten decided to greet one of the more affluent high schools north of the 8 freeway.  Our ONLY surprise is that her personal “Television Media” Press Secretary, Rory Devine, wasn’t the so-called “Investigative Reporter” for this puff piece.  This is the type of access “award” Marten and Sharp dole out to their chosen media collaborators that cooperate and spread their preferred propaganda message.

NO SURPRISE!  

Marten is obviously much more comfortable greeting affluent white students.

Kind of like she is comfortable giving another affluent Cluster north of Highway 8 a special Memorandum of Understanding that allows them autonomy of teacher staffing and other special considerations at the expense of all other schools in the SDUSD.

We are not going to name OR blame the high school Marten greeted or post the video of this ridiculous “soft news” propaganda report featuring Marten bloviating and spouting useless platitudes.

It is NOT the fault of the High School or the Students, Teachers, Staff and Families who were excited and proud of their school.

The fault lies in Marten’s TOTAL lack of sensitivity as to how she shows, through her actions, who are the “chosen ones” and who are the “others”. 

But like we said…we are dismayed but not surprised.

How can we all be surprised?

Just look at her Senior Management…the “White Woman Mafia”…as one of District Deeds trusted Whistleblowers nicknamed them.  Here are the individuals in her ALL WHITE “Inner Circle” straight from the SDUSD website:

THESE are the TOP NINE, most influential, SENIOR executives in the San Diego Unified School District

ANOTHER Cindy Marten Ruby Slipper Miracle…miraculous that only white candidates  were qualified for the Senior Management positions given the POOR screening protocols by Marten.

THIS is the SDUSD Supt Cindy “White Woman Mafia” Marten version of ethnic  “diversity” in her senior leadership.

THIS is the “diversity” that is supposed to engender trust according to Marten and her Board of Education Trustee enablers Richard Barrera, Kevin Beiser, John Lee Evans, Mike McQuary, and Sharon Whitehurst-Payne who APPROVED her choices.

But SDUSD Stakeholders south of Highway 8 KNOW the REAL Supt. Marten.

Ask the Stakeholders at those schools how much they trust Marten.

Ask the San Diego Unified Police Department how much they trust Marten today…and how she has betrayed them and the Community using her CLASSIC bait and switch:

And then betrayed again on August 28, 2016…3 days ago caused by Marten trying to pit the San Diego Police against the community to cover up her own gross incompetence and negligence in providing a clear and coherent plan:

Are YOU surprised that Supt. Cindy Marten cannot be trusted to devise, implement and deploy a REAL Restorative Justice plan (instead of the flawed farce Marten presented this past May in a “photo-op” using Students as props) to protect our students by even the San Diego Unified Police Department?

District Deeds. and the betrayed SDUSD Stakeholders are not.

Obviously there is NO clarity OR real deployment in the SDUSD for AUTHENTIC Restorative Justice despite Marten claiming that SDUSD is a “Restorative Justice District”.

District Deeds HOPES that the Marten incompetence and negligence DOES NOT tear apart the IMPORTANT relationship between the School Site Communities and the SDUSD Police Department.

BOTH the SDUSD Communities AND the SDUSD Police Department are HEROES to ALL the SDUSD Students.

BOTH the SDUSD Communities and the SDUSD Police Department are VICTIMS of Marten’s poor judgment and management with her strong aversion to transparency and REAL Stakeholder collaboration.

ALWAYS REMEMBER-THIS IS NOT THE 1ST TIME for a Marten intentional blunder! This is just another example of the Cindy “White Woman Mafia” Marten Modus Operandi 

We ALL remember the large number of dedicated, highly credentialed, SDUSD  Principals, Senior Staff and other skilled SDUSD Staff, many of them Educators of color, who have RUN AWAY or DRIVEN FROM the District, escaping this disastrous Marten regime.  Marten should be ASHAMED,

And now what Marten is doing to the SDUSD Stakeholders and the SDUSD Police Department SHOULD be a crime…it is certainly a SHAME.

Let’s NOT let Supt. Marten tear us apart and fight with each other!

Let’s work together DESPITE the negative influence of the deeply operationally and ethically flawed Supt. Cindy Marten. 

Let’s ALL join together and call Supt Marten out for what she really is…the Capo di Tutti Capi of the incompetent SDUSD White Woman Mafia!
