As District Deeds outlined in “FOSTERGATE! WELCOME TO 1965! SDUSD Board of Education Scam Repeals District E Voting Rights!!!“ the San Diego Unified School District  (SDUSD) Board of Education completed their autocratic plan to appoint a pre-determined Crony to the vacant Trustee position of their former Crony, convicted and disgraced felon Marne Foster.

Was there really any doubt?

Did ANY Stakeholder in the San Diego Unified School District REALLY believe that the Board of Education, Trustees Richard Barrera, Kevin Beiser. John Lee Evans and Mike McQuary had the capacity to transparently “appoint” an independent Trustee candidate that was not a CRONY of the SDEA leadership, Trustee Richard Barrera and Foster collaborator Superintendent Cindy Marten?

It is IMPOSSIBLE for THIS Board and Superintendent, and to prove it, here is the “Leadership” page of the San Diego Education Fund Website:

That’s right…Barrera, Marten and the Board Nominee Payne, shilling the San Diego Education Fund…a non-profit LOCATED IN THE FOSTERGATE OFFICE ON NORMAL STREET!

Did ANY Stakeholder in the San Diego Unified School District REALLY believe that community and even ELECTED OFFICIALS opinions would make any difference in forcing Trustees Richard Barrera, Kevin Beiser, John Evans and Michael McQuary (with inappropriate attendance on the dais in the meetings by Supt. Cindy Marten) allow a Special Election or to waver from their predetermined candidate for the vacant Board of Education seat?

Speaker of the California State Assembly Toni Atkins couldn’t sway this crony SDUSD Board of Education.

California Assemblymember Shirley Weber representing the District E area couldn’t sway this crony SDUSD Board of Education.

Numerous members of the District E Community who asked for a special election couldn’t do it either.

Trustees Richard Barrera, Kevin Beiser. John Lee Evans and Mike McQuary do not have the capacity to put their own political agendas aside and actually appoint an individual based on the views of the District E community and the state officials that represent them.

It is not in their self-serving SDUSD Board of Education political DNA

First the community wanted a special election, and all they got was the following vague statement by SDUSD General Counsel Andra Donovan (citing no specific State or Education Code statutes denying the right in the meeting as to why the Board of Education STRIPPED AWAY their right to vote:

Under state law when there is a regular election scheduled and the position is scheduled to be filled in the upcoming regular election, the possibility of a special election is negated. The BLBLB Election’s Code specifies that a special election will be held concurrently with a regular election and the education code specifies that when there is an upcoming regular election there will not be a special election within this time frame. So an election was not a viable option and that is why that was not pursued. – Andra Donovan – SDUSD General Counsel – Special Board of Education Meeting – Ibarra Elementary – 2/17/16

Here is the incoherent explanation by Donovan:

What?!?

HAHA…The BLBLB Election Code?!?  Is this a new secret language that Donovan, the Board and Marten have developed to totally cover up their actions?

Let’s watch it again…

So, according to the SDUSD General Counsel, because of the BLBLB Election Code the SDUSD Board of Education stripped the 1965 Voting Rights of citizens in District E

So then that action by the Board culminated in the appointment of their crony, Dr.Payne, to fill the seat of the disgraced former SDUSD Marne Foster.

District Deeds commends LaShae Collins, Dr. Brenda Campbell, Erica Hitta, Dr.  Payne and the other 9 individuals who tried to make the best of the SDUSD Board of Education crony assignment travesty and volunteered to be manipulated by the fake selection process.

District Deeds has NOTHING against Dr. Payne…just like we had nothing against the principal who replaced Principal Lizarraga…or the principals that replaced the NINETY EXPERIENCED Principals removed by Superintendent Cindy Marten…or the replacements for the highly credentialed, experienced and gifted Administrators that have FLED the SDUSD in a massive “Brain Drain” to get away from the dysfunctional SDUSD leadership of this Board and Foster Collaborator Cindy Marten..

District Deeds DOES have a problem with the FAUXLLABORATION (FAKE COLLABORATION) and TRUSTEE ASSIGNMENT PROCESS that STRIPPED THE VOTING RIGHTS OF DISTRICT E.

Unfortunately, in the end, DESPITE THEIR TRUST, FORTITUDE AND CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY, the other 12 candidates were used as public relations fodder for the pre-ordained selection of the SDUSD Board of Education – Dr. Payne.  Those 12 brave candidates joined the long list of VICTIMS (gifted Teachers, skilled Principals, dedicated Staff, abused Students, ignored Parents/Guardians) persecuted by this Board that will virtually do anything to cover up their improprieties and maintain their POLITICAL Status Quo and Power over the needs of SDUSD Students and Community.

According to KPBS:

In closing, Whitehurst-Payne said she wanted to quote the late South African President Nelson Mandela.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure,” she said. “It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.” KPBS 2/24/16

Based on the recent history of protection of a fellow Board Member felon and obfuscation and deceit to the public they are supposed to service by Trustees Barrera, Beiser, Evans and McQuary, another quote comes to the mind of District Deeds:

“Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” – Lord Acton

As a Board of Education Member, Trustee Payne has ALMOST absolute power…felon Trustee Marne Foster learned the hard way that it is not “absolute”

We MUST give Trustee Payne the opportunity to prove that just because she is a Crony of the Board doesn’t mean she will imitate her predecessor and the Board that appointed her and let down ALL of the SDUSD Stakeholders.
