The Uniform Complaint Appeal against the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) is ALIVE…now let’s see if Superintendent Cindy Marten and Trustees Beiser, Barrera, Foster, Evans and McQuary TELL THE TRUTH or PERJURE THEMSELVES by their testimony to the California Department of Education.

At least 1 SDUSD English Language (EL) Stakeholder (and likely more of the nearly 200 EL Parents who signed the original Uniform Complaint)  filed an appeal to the California Department of Education (CDE) that “alleges that English Learner services are not being adequately provided at Hoover High School. “inequality in the educational practices” at the District and disregard for parent, teacher and student input on the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)”

With this new Uniform Complaint Appeal, the inexperienced, embattled Superintendent Cindy Marten and the Board of Education now has “Bookend” responses due within the next 45 days!

Besides the CDE Response that is due, they also have one due the San Diego County Grand Jury described here:

In addition to the seven (7) separate items, the SDUSD must provide a specific 2014-2015 SPSA for Hoover High School THAT DOES NOT EXIST!

As we pointed out in “San Diego Unified Board of Education INADMISSABLE APPROVAL of 2014-16 SPSA’S: Do YOU Have A UNIFORM COMPLAINT TO FILE?” the SDUSD improperly created a “cover-up” 2014 – 2016 SPSA that has NO DEFINITIVE EL PLAN FOR 2014-2015!

As the documents show, the UC Appeal was presented to the CDE on May, 12, 2015 and the CDE request to the SDUSD is dated June 23, 2015.

The SDUSD had to reply within 7 days of the receipt of the CDE correspondence…which would give the SDUSD until around July 3, 2015 to respond.

How DID the SDUSD respond since they have NO SPECIFIC 2014-2015 SPSA with MANDATED EL Strategies?

Will the SDUSD lie and say they provided EL Student and Teacher MANDATED Support despite the fact there was NO APPROVED SPSA OR Plan and that EL Budgets were FROZEN UNTIL THE 2^ND SEMESTER of the 2014-2015 school year?
