In surprising news from the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) Communications Department, the Board of Education has decided to take the bold move of splitting up the Superintendent position into 3 parts…High School, Middle School and Elementary School Superintendent.  Current Superintendent Cindy Marten will continue as Superintendent of the SDUSD until the High School and Middle School Superintendent positions are filled.

According to the following news conference and news release, Marten will assume the Elementary Superintendent position where her credentials are strongest,  after the the other two positions are filled.
