Thank you, Frank..I watched both videos, change my negative opinion about Deasy of LA Unified. Smart, very understandable, unlike Marten, I know he’s had lots of bad press about the Ipads and he didn’t seem to understand teacher tenure in CA, he being from the east coast, I think…but seemed to be a good man.
Always love Diane Ravitch…well, almost always, except one story on her blog..at dianeravitch.net…I think…
The story was “Why San Diego is the Best Urban District in the Nation”…she used the word “magical”…and seemed to have sipped the local Kool-aid…
Last evening, after no board meeting in August, none for the first day of school and never since January of 2002, the school board meeting notice, on Sandi.net said “no coverage of the meeting”…due to “technical difficulties”.
Very little information, coming out of the Land of Oz, lately.
