District Deeds Introduction
This week District Deeds Sunday Reads is going to be centered upon a subject that has been abused and ignored by the SDUSD multiple times over our involvement with this school district.
That subject is “Ethics”.
According to “The Ethics Center” website, here is the meaning of “Ethics”:
Ethics is the backbone of our 2023 District Deeds Hat Trick Resolution:
There can be no Honesty without Ethics.
There can be no Accountability without Ethics.
There can be no Transparency without Ethics.
Lack of Ethics in the SDUSD comes in many forms but documented adherence to Ethics is described in only two places we could find on the SDUSD website and associated documents.
The first is the “Ethical Standards of Strategic Sourcing & Contracts Staff” page that focuses on the purchasing of goods and services in the SDUSD Purchasing Department.
This purchasing “Code of Ethics” obviously doesn’t apply to corrupt Board of Education Trustee Richard Barrera who repeatedly refused to recuse himself while actively lobbying and voting to approve numerous multimillion dollar construction agreements “in operational situations” with companies/associates that he had previously interactions with throughout his non-SDUSD professional career in labor unions.
The second “Code of Ethics” is related to the SDUSD Police Department listed below:
The potential breech of this SDUSD Police “Code of Ethics” was exposed in a recent lawsuit by members of the SDUSD Police Department regarding a relationship between the SDUSD Police Chief and a SDUSD Police Sergeant. Here is an excerpt from Channel 7 San Diego titled “Lawsuit alleges San Diego school police chief’s relationship allowed favoritism, corruption”
And…
And…
Obviously this is not the first time in the SDUSD that allegations like this have actually occurred.
Pictures can usually show the unethical story like from October, 2016…
And, in another case from May, 2017…
But the strangest thing regarding SDUSD “ethics” is that the current SDUSD Superintendent Lamont “Crybaby” Jackson and his senior staff “ignored completely” the claims of the majority of SDUSD Police Officers.
District Deeds has 4 questions for the SDUSD and our Readers
- Could it be that similar offenses have actually occurred and been swept under the rug with “Crybaby” Lamont and his senior staff colleagues?
- Could it be that screaming matches have actually occurred between “Crybaby” Lamont and his Senior Staff colleagues about inappropriate workplace sexual relationships?
- Could it be that “Crybaby” Lamont and his Senior Staff colleagues have actually passed out and/or experienced physical distress during these on-the-job confrontations?
- Could it be that “Crybaby” Lamont and his Senior Staff colleagues have actually had to take a “leave of absence” from the stress of these inappropriate confrontations?
We have no proof, and do not claim, that any of these or other unethical violations have occurred but we do know one thing:
Outside of the two documents from SDUSD Purchasing and the Police Department that we provided above, we could find NOTHING on the SDUSD website regarding workplace ethics and the restriction of improper personal relationships in the SDUSD workplace.
An informative article regarding the risks and damages of NOT having an established workplace policy is outlined in an article from Business News Daily titled “How to Manage Workplace Relationships”
We personally have heard rumors of DOZENS of incidents in the SDUSD that have overtly violated most, if not all, of the “standard policies” listed above.
No wonder “Lovey Dovey” Lamont and his staff have no time to actually listen to the the Police Officers or provide a top flight education to ALL off our Students. Could they be distracted by their own inappropriate personal relationships that are sanctioned by the absence of ANY enforceable workplace relationship standards.
No wonder the multimillion dollar SDUSD legal department has allowed these incidents to occur for at least the last 12 years. It is impossible to prosecute an internal action that has no internal law.
No wonder the 2023 District Deeds HAT Trick Resolution of Honesty, Accountability and Transparency continues to be trampled by the inept and corrupt “Crybaby” Lamont Administration and Tricky Dick Barrera Board of Education!
No wonder families are RUNNING AWAY from enrolling in the SDUSD!
Thank you for reading District Deeds Sunday Reads Summer Edition! SDUSD Summer Break ends next Sunday and we will be back next week with our final “Summer Edition 2023” posting.
Now for our District Deeds Summer Edition 2023 SONG of the Week from the Talking Heads “Once in a Lifetime” dedicated to exposing the rotting SDUSD legacy maintained by chronically corrupt trustee “Tricky Dick” Barerra and incompetent, WAY overpaid, Superintendent “Crybaby” Lamont Jackson. These two key individuals have to look themselves in the mirror and face their actions of destroying the future of SDUSD Students every single day to service their own greed for money and fame. To paraphrase…My God, What have THEY done?:
You may ask yourself, “What is that beautiful house?”
You may ask yourself, “Where does that highway go to?”
And you may ask yourself, “Am I right, am I wrong?”
And you may say to yourself, “My God, what have I done?” – The Talking Heads
