Attention ALL San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD)

Stakeholders in EVERY AREA.

District Deeds recently received the following notice from Parents for Quality Education (PQE) regarding  a VIRTUAL meeting of the San Diego City Council that will VOTE on “District Only Elections” for the  SDUSD Board of Education Trustee positions.

For some background, here is the map of the SDUSD Voting Districts:

Here is the City Council Map:

District Maps

“Vote by District” is major step toward electoral equity by giving the specific voters in a voting district FULL control of who they elect for their community.  This allows a district LOCAL candidate that may not have the money for a city wide election to compete in their own community area election.  This will also prevent carpetbagger candidates backed by big special interest money to crush a grass roots funded candidate with grass roots district connections.

“Vote by District” is how City Councilpersons are elected…it should be the way SDUSD Trustees are elected!

We STRONGLY urge ALL of our readers to read through the PQE message below and call or email ALL of the San Diego City Councilpersons listed below RIGHT NOW to vote YES on “Vote by District.

Please reach out to ALL your district community contacts and ask them to to the same!

PQE has also included links for public comment, documents and for the Board Meeting itself that you can watch live!

Here is the PQE Info:
