The infamy of San Diego Unified School District Trustee Marne Foster has been taken to another sarcastic level by the San Diego Reader!

According to a spoof in the San Diego Reader by the “legendary” Walter Mencken titled   “School of Creative and Performing Arts Students Adapt “I, Claudius” for the Present Day” Trod Boards, a legend in Walter’s mind, and faux director of the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts theater program asked the Seniors in the theatre program to come up with an adaption tied to a famous novel and the Students decided that “I, Claudius” was the best choice.

The tagline for the adaption is especially “creative”:

THE SON WILL RISE, OR ALL WILL FALL

According to the Reader, the Foster “adaptation” is based on “Livia, the scheming wife of Caesar Augustus who longs to see her son Tiberius ascend to power.”

Also according to the Reader article:

Livia is one of the great literary villains: a master manipulator, a cunning political operative, a patient plotter, and a ruthless killer. One by one, all those who stand between her son and Caesar’s crown come to grief, often without ever suspecting the real mastermind behind their demise.

This “adaptation” may need some updates since the Foster saga is not yet over…

• The subpoenas by the San Diego District Attorney could uncover enough wrongdoing to indict Foster and Marten on criminal charges.

• Foster may decide to claim some more “victims” including taking down Supt. Cindy Marten as her accomplice by revealing the scope of Marten’s improper support of her illegal interventions.

District Deeds can only hope that the term of Marne Foster on the SDUSD School Board and her future political career “passes away” much less “peacefully” than did Livia in in “I, Claudius”

Only time will tell if Foster gets what she truly deserves…in real life.
