Lamont Jackson, San Diego Unified Board of Education, San Diego Unified School District, San Diego Unified School District Superintendent Cindy Marten, SDUSD Trustee Richard Barrera
The following quote regarding “Superintendent” Lamont Jackson was posted in a article from the Voice of San Diego (VOSD) titled “Investigation Into San Diego Unified Superintendent Substantiates Allegations of Misconduct Involving Staff”:
An investigation launched in May by San Diego Unified officials has substantiated allegations that Superintendent Lamont Jackson engaged in misconduct with female staff, four sources with knowledge of the results told Voice of San Diego. Women who worked for the district made the allegations. Exactly what the misconduct entailed is still unclear.
FINALLY!!!!
Over a year ago we posted the following article
In that article we wrote the following:
District Deeds has 4 questions for the SDUSD and our Readers
Could it be that similar offenses have actually occurred and been swept under the rug with “Crybaby” Lamont and his senior staff colleagues?
Could it be that screaming matches have actually occurred between “Crybaby” Lamont and his Senior Staff colleagues about inappropriate workplace sexual relationships?
Could it be that “Crybaby” Lamont and his Senior Staff colleagues have actually passed out and/or experienced physical distress during these on-the-job confrontations?
Could it be that “Crybaby” Lamont and his Senior Staff colleagues have actually had to take a “leave of absence” from the stress of these inappropriate confrontations?
Despite her lofty new position, Marten’s tenure as superintendent was also marred by scandals surrounding officials’ handling of sexual misconduct claims while she was at the helm. The issues were even raised during her confirmation hearing.
But the most high-profile rebuke came in a recent report, in which the U.S. Department of Education, which Marten now helps lead, wrote “These failures led to serial perpetration of harassment with insufficient district response, leaving district students vulnerable to the sex discrimination in school.”
As far back as August, 2015, over NINE years ago, and numerous times since then, we exposed Marten’s horrible record as Superintendent in addressing sexual misconduct:
Apparently Marten used the Director of the Quality Assurance Office to order the Investigator to CUT the Sexual Assault Report from 34 pages DOWN TO 11 PAGES!
And during Marten’s nomination process we also posted on this blog and sent to the U.S. Senate the following:
Here is the VERY FIRST of the 22 questions we directed the U.S. Senate to ask:
(1) Why isn’t anyone asking questions about the deposition Cindy Marten gave regarding the Green Elementary incident? What kind of district leader responsible for the well being of students would say that she wasn’t sure that the oral copulation of a kindergarten student was not serious or a priority? https://districtdeeds.blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/marten-depo-gurrieri.pdf
QUESTION 1 ANSWER UPDATE: No Answer from Marten.
And the Local News Media completely IGNORED IT!!!
The BIGGEST and MOST RELEVANT question stems from another sentence in the VOSD article:
San Diego Unified officials landed on Jackson, who has worked in the district for more than three decades, after what the district billed as a national search for Marten’s replacement.
We debunked that corrupt, so-called “national search” here 3 years ago before Lamont Jackson was appointed by the corrupt Board of Education:
Based on all the above evidence, at the end of all the “community engagement session(s)” we will have absolutely ZERO verified data regarding Superintendent requirements from the SDUSD family communities.
Then we move on to the 48-member Superintendent Search Advisory Committee to help develop the job posting for the superintendent position.
We are to believe that the 48 icons hand selected by Barrera for that committee will stand up for the unknown community requirements in selecting the 10 finalists for Superintendent.
In other words, there was virtually ZERO vetting or investigation into Lamont Jackson BEFORE or AFTER his predetermined ascension to the throne of SDUSD Superintendent.
THAT is where the $100.000 dollar law firm should have been hired…but it wasn’t for a few very good corrupt SDUSD Board of Education reasons.
Here are a couple wild rumors/theories/possibilities we have heard from SDUSD Stakeholders:
- The Board of Education wanted a puppet Superintendent like Marten, but more compromised (due to his ongoing “misconduct with female staff”) that they could dump quickly if needed.
- Jackson knew where the internal illegal financial and ethical corruption proof resided and this was a way to shut him up.
- Some combination of both 1 & 2.
DD NOTE: We are just reporting what we have heard from SDUSD Stakeholders and in no way verifying that they are true.
And the local media completely ignored it.
Unfortunately it has taken the local media over THREE years to catch up to our postings on District Deeds for the Lamont Jackson appointment and over NINE years to catch up with the reasons for rampant SDUSD sexual misconduct and legally required investigations.
But here is a way for the local news media to redeem themselves…
Insist on full and complete answers FROM BOARD OF EDUCATION TRUSTEES (not SDUSD Propaganda talking heads or the Legal Department) for the following 3 QUESTIONS:
- How could the Board of Education Trustees not find a candidate with a clean background, record and experience and instead appoint an individual “who has worked in the district for more than three decades” with a history of this behavior to the position of SDUSD Superintendent.
- What “100.000” law firm was hired BEFORE the appointment of Jackson “to conduct a specific investigation” regarding Jackson’s proclivities to prevent this flawed appointment to occur.
- Request that the SDUSD provide ALL documentation used in selecting this flawed Superintendent candidate including a candidate by candidate profile showing the reasons why Jackson was hired over obviously more qualified candidates.
Special District Deeds Note to Local News Media:
