Ten months ago on New Years Day, Sunday, January 1, 2023, District Deeds made the 2023 “HAT Trick” New Years Resolution for holding the San Diego Unified School District to the reasonable, justifiable, and critical standard of Honesty, Accountability and Transparency:

Since that time we have provided our readers the HAT Trick Handbook for Uniform Complaints and spent Summer, 2023 breaking down the three components with documented proof of horrible SDUSD performance.

To begin the new 2023/2024 school year two weeks ago, we decided to apply the “HONESTY” HAT Trick component to the newest SDUSD Board of Education Trustees and they failed horribly.

After analysis of the facts we came up with the following conclusion regarding the “HONESTY” of those two newbie SDUSD Trustees:

Lying to SDUSD Stakeholders is a complete violation of the “Ethics” component of their SDUSD oath of office and the “Honesty” component of the 2023 District Deeds HAT Trick resolution.

District Deeds Bottom Line: Both plausible reasons could be true and both are ultimately damning to the reputations and the viability of both Hazan and Petterson to complete their terms in office.

Last week we addressed the SDUSD “ACCOUNTABILITY” component of the District Deeds “HAT Trick Resolution” with the COMPLETE avoidance of the “ACCOUNTABILITY” component by exposing the corrupt and incompetent SDUSD Senior Leadership failed attempt to cover up the massive reduction of K-12 enrollment by desperately (and falsely) representing pre-school/daycare/Pre-K as pseudo enrollment.

This week we decided to explore the 3rd, and final, HAT Trick component of “Transparency” by using the one meeting deployed by the corrupt SDUSD Trustees as the penultimate communication device to ALL SDUSD Stakeholders:

The SDUSD Board of Education (BOE) Meeting

District Deeds admits that it was extremely disappointing (but expected) to watch the four trained Trustee “seals” jump through the propaganda hoops devised by their Master Trustee Richard “Tricky Dick” Barrera over the 2 hour and 19 minute SDUSD BOE meeting.  It was also disappointing to view a meeting where proven liar Superintendent “Cryin’ Lamont” Jackson lied again to the public and was rewarded for it by clapping and a 1 year extension to his contract.

DD NOTE: We wonder if our readers think that we should now update his nickname to “Cryin’ Lyin’ Lamont”.  Let us know.

The first 1 hour and 27 minutes of the meeting was a microcosm of the way this disaster of a school district operates:

  • 80% Propaganda for either failed, soon to fail and/or intentionally destined to fail programs/assessments/evaluations that will sidetrack/distract SDUSD Stakeholders from the existing miserable educational results.
  • 18% Trustee/Superintendent Bloviation Lies.
  • <2% Community Input in limited 2-3 minute “Public Comment”

We were going to go through the many cases of TRANSPARENCY avoidance in this BOE meeting but decided to not torture our readers (or ourselves) with the hundreds of lies, misrepresentations and false promises spoon fed to the well meaning LGBTQIA+ and other Stakeholder groups that attended to support and clap for their individual causes.

We were going to go through the public testimony and show how each and every one of the promises implied by the corrupt BOE and the supportive public speakers had been betrayed in the past and will continue to be betrayed in the future.

SDUSD Stakeholders from that meeting should now know that ALL of those placeholder boxes for their selected cause have now been officially checked with no intention of improvement/completion and the corrupt Board of Education and their incompetent Superintendent can now move on to using their support to fill their own campaign pockets with donations and political influence.

Instead we chose to provide our readers some great SDUSD TRANSPARENCY by Stakeholders who were brave enough to speak against the the REALITY of SDUSD gross mismanagement and corruption.

Unlike the previous propaganda items in the meeting paraded to stakeholders in the first 1 hour, 27 minute pep rally where many speakers supported their cause, only three Speakers stepped up.  We are featuring 2 of them.

They were allotted 3 minutes to speak on one of the 34 items on the “Superintendent Consent Agenda” that passed 5-0 unanimously with no allowed public discussion by ANY Trustees.

The first speaker addressed item I13:

Here are the items in the agreement that received ZERO TRANSPARENCY or clarification by the corrupt SDUSD BOE:

“Parental Consent” on access and distribution of Student medical records “not applicable”?!?

ZERO TRANSPARENCY!!!

Here is the second and third points made:

Like the speaker said…

NO “Parental Consent” to gather and archive the information.

“Parental  Consent” required to “access”  the individual data EXCEPT to “persons within the district”!

TOTALLY confusing and misleading.

District Deeds Translation: INTENTIONAL MISLEADING CONTRACTUAL CONFUSION = ZERO TRANSPARENCY BY THE SDUSD LEADERSHIP

On top of it all, this data gathering scam has two other stakeholder damage considerations:

1.The SDUSD distracting pork barrel “Community Schools” scam that funnels private family information into this new software program for predators to access.

2. The faulty SDUSD IT infrastructure that allows for a massive data breach.

Yeah…this is not the end.

In a few months the corrupt leadership will have excuses for even more of your private family health information allowed to be hacked.

Public Speaker #2 addressed Item I15….which is even WORSE!

Here is what incompetent, untrustworthy liar Superintendent Lamon Jackson said earlier in the meeting:

How many THOUSANDS of SDUSD Parents face this SAME battle for MANDATED supports and have to fight their way through legal costs and negotiate for MANDATED Special Needs supports for their children?

How many THOUSANDS of SDUSD Parents HAVE NO FINANCIAL CAPACITY, EDUCATION, or COMMUNICATION SKILLS to fight the multimillion dollar SDUSD Legal Department for MANDATED Special Needs supports for their children?

Like the speaker says:

Know that San Diego Unified will be there every step of the the way to

  • Cut Services

  • Make life harder

  • Make excuses

  • Demean and devalue you as parents.

And…

Prepare.  Don’t trust them. The moment you do, they will use it against your child.”

  • Prepare for them to bully and intimidate you.

  • Prepare for harassment and discrimination.

  • Prepare for your child’s IEP to be violated.

  • Prepare to hire lawyers and go to due process.

  • Prepare for them to breach a settlement agreement and not reimburse funds.

And..

It’s not a matter of IF this Board and Mr. Jackson will fail your child, it’s a matter of when.

Who do YOU believe is telling the truth…a concerned mother or a proven liar like Jackson?

And how many visitors in the audience at the BOE meeting will be clapping in 2 years when all the BOE and Superintendent lies and misrepresentation result in serious mental and physical damage/harm to their kids?

And where were all the public speakers for the other 32 “Superintendent Consent Agenda” items that WERE NOT discussed in public by this corrupt BOE and incompetent Superintendent?

Our guess is that 95% of the SDUSD Stakeholders are not even aware of this corrupt “Superintendent Consent Agenda” scam and the rest can’t decipher the obscure and confusing documents attached to the agenda like the first speaker addresses.

A perfect environment for corrupt SDUSD ZERO transparency.

With ZERO Transparency the incompetent, overpaid, underqualified SDUSD Superintendent liar Jackson and corrupt Board of Education just continue to damage the neediest students and instead build “Pep Rallies” for single subject voters out of their BOE meetings.

What could be more compelling for a family to move ALL their children as far away from the SDUSD as FAST as possible?

No amount of miscounting puffery of PRE-K Students into K-12 Enrollment can cover that up.  And the SDUSD Trustees and Superintendent are just too greedy and stupid to realize it…but that has never stopped them from trying with all the unlimited taxpayer funded money, time, and legal defenses they could ever need.

In one word…

DISGUSTING!
