Welcome to the 2023 “Summer Edition” of District Deeds!

The 2022/2023 San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) school year has ended and summer has arrived!  Just like all the schools in the SDUSD are going through summer refurbishment and clean-up, we have decided to do the same over the next nine weeks.  The following is the 2022/2023 and 2023/24 SDUSD calendar for June, July and August, 2023 with our “Summer Edition” weeks highlighted in magenta below:

During the Summer Edition we will be making cosmetic changes to the District Deeds blog and adding enhancement to improve the reader experience.  Unlike the SDUSD, we will not provide website  dead end links to SDUSD Stakeholders like below:

One of the first items we will be implementing is creating pages that contain the complete District Deeds 2023 HAT Trick Handbook editions including the Uniform Complaint Process, the SDUSD HAT Trick analysis and other upcoming informational tutorials that will maximize the impact of SDUSD Stakeholder advocacy.

During this period we will also initiate a “MUST READ” feature that will give you key articles, statements and other materials that will help expand the scope, scale and efficacy of your Student/Stakeholder advocacy efforts.

In addition we will be expanding our social media footprint to reach out to those groups and individuals that may need assistance in fighting for their educational rights in the SDUSD.

We are excited about deploying these upgrades/changes and urge our readers to make other suggestions for our improvement.  Please forward your suggestions and critiques to us at districtdeeds@gmail.com.

Have a wonderful, re-energizing Summer 2023!!!

Now for our inaugural District Deeds Summer Edition 2023 Quote of the Week:

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something–your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.” — Steve Jobs
